The National Housing Policy

- Approval of the Cabinet has been previously granted to revise, the National Housing Policy presently being used so as to reflect within the Vision of the present Government and to focus more attention towards the issues such as urbanization, impacts of natural disasters and implementation of the concept of Sustainable Human Settlements Development. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Sajith Premadasa, Minister of Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs on the revised National Housing Policy taking also into account of the assignment of subjects presently to the Ministries, was approved by the Cabinet.
