Providing relief to the personnel of the Tri Forces who have retired from service or vacated their posts as a result of the disability due to terrorist activities

- The Cabinet has granted approval previously to provide relief to 1,573 members of the Tri‑Forces who have retired from service after having completed the due period of service as a result of disability caused due to terrorist activities and due to lowering of the disability to 50%. Accordingly, the proposal made by H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, in his capacity as the Minister of Defence, to provide relief to a further number of 792 retired similar members of the Tri‑Forces as well, was approved by the Cabinet.
