Improvements to the building where the Police Recruitment Division and the Police Information Technology Division are housed

- The Police Recruitment Division and the Police Information Technology Division are housed in the building at the Sri Sambuddha Jayanthi Mawatha, Kirulapone where the Vilasitha Nivasa was situated earlier. In order to prevent the challenges that have to be faced while being engaged in the disposal of official duties, as a result of this building not being renovated for a long time, the proposal made by H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, in his capacity as the Minister of Defence, to secure a provision of Rs.126.8 million within the Medium‑term Budgetary Framework for 2020-2022, to improve and carry out a complete revamp of the building inclusive of the construction of a rain water and waste water drainage system and the re‑construction of the water supply system, the sewerage and drainage system and the electric control system, was approved by the Cabinet.
