Construction of new paddy stores of the Paddy Marketing Board (PMB) and renovation of its existing stores

- The attention of the Government has been focused to develop the infrastructure facilities in the field of agriculture while improving the agricultural sector, for providing relief to the farmers. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. P. Harison, the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Economic Affairs, Livestock Development, Irrigation and Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development, for the construction of 2 State-of-the-Art paddy stores in the Beliatta and Meegahajandura areas with a capacity of 2,000 MT and to renovate 39 old paddy stores spread over the Island, was approved by the Cabinet.
