The contract for the construction of Transmission Lines and Capacity Enhancement under the National Transmission and Distribution Network Development and Efficiency Improvement Project

- The National Transmission and Distribution Network Development and Efficiency Improvement of the electricity Grid has been planned to be implemented under 4 components. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, the Minister of Power, Energy and Business Development, to award the contract for the project for construction of Transmission Lines and Capacity Enhancement planned as its component 3, to M/s Kinden Corporation and M/s Kalpatharu Power Transmission Joint Venture of Japan, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
