Development of the Infrastructure facilities at the Kelaniya, Sri Jayawardenapura, Sabaragamuwa and Moratuwa Universities

- The Government has focused its attention for the development of the infrastructure facilities of the universities with a view to further enhancing the qualitative aspect of the field of Higher Education. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon.Rauff Hakeem, the Minister of City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education, for the implementation of the projects for the construction of a 4 storey hostel building for the students of the University of Kelaniya, construction of 3 stories as Stage I of the project for the 7 storey multi-functional building at the University of Sri Jayawardenapura, Stage I of the project for the construction of the faculty building complex of the Faculty of Agriculture of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, attending to the balance work left at the lecture hall building of the Faculty of Architecture and at the multi‑functional building of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Moratuwa, was approved by the Cabinet.
