Adopting the concept of Managing for Development Results (MfDR) as a planning and management technique at the Public institutions

- The developed as well as the developing countries adopt the concept of Managing for Development Results (MfDR) as a modern planning and management technqiue in their public sector management cycle. Through this cycle, the Public management activities are conducted aiming at Key Performance Indicators (KPI) targeted towards the National Sustainable Development. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, Prime Minister and Minister of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement & Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development, Vocational Training & Skills Development and Youth Affairs, to institutionalize the process of Managing for Development Results (MfDR) as an initiative in 05 Ministries and 02 Provincial Councils in the form of a pilot project andadopting this concept covering all Public institutions based on its success, was approved by the Cabinet.
