Piling Work for the Construction of the Faculty of Nursing at Sri Jayawardenapura

- Approval of the Cabinet had been granted previously to award the contract to the State Engineering Corporation for the construction of the Faculty of Nursing at Sri Jayawardenapura consisting of 22 storyes. Since piling work for 248 places has to be carried out, it was decided to grant sub‑contracts under 03 Packages. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Sajith Premadasa, Minister of Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs, to award the Package 01 and Package 02 of the above project to M/s Nawaloka Piling (Pvt.) Ltd., for a sum of Rs 124.8 million and Rs 137.5 million respectively and Package 03 of the said project to M/s D.P Jayasinghe Piling Co.(Pvt.)Ltd., for a sum of Rs 126 million as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
