Procurement for laying of pipes and fittings for the Transmission and Water Distribution Mains in the Attanagalla Area under the Gampaha, Attanagalla and Minuwangoda Integrated Water Supply Scheme

- The contract of the Gampaha, Attanagalla and Minuwangoda Integrated Water Supply Scheme has been awarded to M/s China Machinery Engineering Corporation and certain activities pertaining to it are scheduled to be sub‑contracted. In accordance with the above, the proposal made by Hon. Rauff Hakeem, the Minister of City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education, to award the contract for the construction of a water tower with a capacity of 1,500m3 and laying of the necessary water pipes and fittings for transmission and distribution mains in the Attanagalla area, to the Joint Venture established by M/s Sierra Construction Limited and KDA Weerasinghe Co. (Pvt.) Limited, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
