The Project for introducing Home Dialysis System using the Automated Peritoneal Dialysis for Kidney Patients

- A proposal had been previously submitted to the Cabinet on the implementation of the project for introducing Home Dialysis System using the Automated Peritoneal Dialysis for Kidney Patients and the Cabinet had decided to appoint a Cabinet Sub-Committee to study the said proposal and submit its recommendations.
Accordingly, the said Sub-Committee has recommended to appoint a Technical Evaluation Committee and a Cabinet Appointed Negotiation Committee to evaluate the proposed project and conduct negotiations and to implement it as a pilot project for 500 patients in the identified districts and thereafter to implement same countrywide. As such, the report incorporating the said recommendations submitted by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine was noted by the Cabinet.
