Presenting of the Gazette Notification published in accordance with the Ports and Airports Development Levy Act, No.18 of 2011 in Parliament for approval

- According to the budget proposals of 2017, it was proposed to grant a 75% waiver of payable Ports and Airports Development Levy on the identified high tech and automated machinery under the Ports and Airports Development Levy Act, with a view to enhancing the productivity of the domestic industries manufacturing process, by the Gazette Extraordinary No.2079/34 of 11.07.2018 published under Section 3(3) of the Ports and Airports Development Levy Act, No.18 of 2011. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, the Minister of Finance & Mass Media, to present the relevant Gazette Notification in Parliament, for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
