Obtaining the approval of Parliament for the Gazette Notifications published under the Special Commodity Levy Act, No.48 of 2007

- Approval of Parliament should be obtained by moving a resolution for the Gazette Notifications published from time to time under the Special Commodity Levy Act No.48 of 2007. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, the Minister of Finance & Mass Media, to re-submit 08 Gazette Notifications published under the Special Commodity Levy Act, No.48 of 2007 having obtained the Cabinet approval but not tabled up to date in Parliament for approval and also another 07 Gazette Notifications published under the same Special Commodity Levy Act, No.48 of 2007 with a view to providing concessions to the consumers and the local farmers, in Parliament, for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
