Extension of Polduwa by pass Road from Suhurupaya to Kanatta Road

- Concurrent to the relocation activities of all the administrative and Office buildings located within the city of Colombo being done in the administrative Capital of Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte, the development activities of the area also have to be carried out. In order to facilitate such activities, a proposal has been made to construct a road connecting Dematagoda to the Outer Circular Highway and presently, a part of the activities of the above project has commenced from Polduwa junction to Koswatta. Under Stage I of the said project, development activities from Polduwa junction to Suhurupaya have already been completed and the development activities from Suhurupaya to Kanatta road under its Stage II are under way. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis & Western Development to secure the provisions of Rs.328.63 million required to complete the said development activities, was approved by the Cabinet.
