Procurement of Container Handling Equipment for the Jaya Container Terminal of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority

- The proposal made by Hon. Mahinda Samarasinghe, the Minister of Ports and Shipping, to award the contract for purchasing 03 cranes required for container handling from ships to the shore for (JCT) - V under the modernization of the Jaya Container Terminal (JCT) - V of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority by utilizing the funds of the said Authority to M/s. Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. for a sum of US$ 25.7 million, as recommended by the Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
