Amendment of the Sri Lanka National Freedom from Hunger Campaign Board Act

- The necessity has arisen to amend the Sri Lanka National Freedom from Hunger Campaign Board Act in keeping with the present economical and global trends. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Mahinda Amaraweera, the Minister of Agriculture, to draft legislation to change the title of the Sri Lanka National Freedom from Hunger Campaign Board to read as the 'Sri Lanka Food Promotion and Agri Marketing Board' to revise the general objectives of the said Board, was approved by the Cabinet.
