Improving the facilities of the Sri Lanka Schools of Agriculture

- In order to attract the the younger generation to the field of agriculture, 05 Sri Lanka Schools of Agriculture established in Kundasale, Pelwehera, Angunakolapelessa, Karapincha and Vavuniya produce Agricultural Diploma Holders of NVQ Level 6 providing them with the education pertaining to the new technology. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Mahinda Amaraweera, the Minister of Agriculture, to increase the number of students recruited to the Schools of Agriculture and to provide them with a quality education and thereby enhancing the agricultural production of the country quantitatively and qualitatively with the cooperation of the Ministry of Skills Development and Vocational Training, as well, was approved by the Cabinet.
