Awarding of the contracts for the construction under the Gampaha, Attanagalla, Minuwangoda Integrated Water Supply Project

- The contract for the Gampaha, Attanagalla, Minuwangoda Integrated Water Supply Project has been been awarded to M/s China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC). Under this project, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board, has planned to carry out 08 major constructions as sub contracts. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Rauff Hakeem, the Minister of City Planning and Water Supply, to award the contract for the laying of fittings and DI/PVC Pipes for the Transmission and Distribution Mains in Attanagalla out of those sub contracts, to the Joint Venture of M/s Sierra Construction Limited and K D A Weerasinghe Co. (Pvt.) Limited, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
