Extension of Polduwa by-pass Road from Suhurupaya to Kanatta Road

- Action is being taken to relocate the government administrative offices in the Administrative City of Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte and the development activities of the area have to be carried out parallelly. Under this, it was proposed to construct a road from Dematagoda to Outer Circular Highway (OCH) and the construction activities from Polduwa Junction to Koswatta has been commenced by now. The Stage I of this project from Polduwa Junction to Suhurupaya has been completed and the Stage II from Suhurupaya to Kanatta Road is under construction. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to secure the provisions of Rs.328.63 million required for the completion of the said construction activities, was approved by the Cabinet.
