Construction of a steel sheet pile hood protection wall on the left bank of the Kelani River which has eroded

- It has been identified that nearly 200 families have been affected due to banks of Kelani river have severely eroded in the Kolonnawa, Halmulla areas. As a remedial measure, it has been proposed to construct a steel sheet pile hood protection wall along the river bank. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Duminda Dissanayake, the Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources & Disaster Management, to carry out the said constructions with an investment of Rs.604 million, was approved by the Cabinet.
