Renovation of the Courts Complexes and the Official Residences

- The Colombo Commercial High Court building and the building of the Judicial Services Commission are maintained in old building complexes of historical value and the immediate renovation has been identified in view of their antiquity. The judicial official residences in Colombo as well as the buildings belonging to the District/Magistrate's Courts in Chilaw have also been identified as buildings which require immediate renovation. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. (Mrs.) Thalatha Atukorala, the Minister of Justice & Prison Reforms, to have such construction activities carried out by the government construction institutions, was approved by the Cabinet.
