Amending the Judicature Act, No.2 of 1978 for the appointment of Justices of the Peace for Administrative Districts

- The proposal made by Hon. (Mrs.) Thalatha Atukorala, the Minister of Justice & Prison Reforms, to publish the draft Bill prepared by amending the section 45 of the Judicature Act, No.2 of 1978 by incorporating provisions to enable the Justices of the Peace to be appointed for the Administrative Districts instead of the Judicial Zones, Districts and Divisions which was adopted in making such appointments, in the Government Gazette and to present the same thereafter in Parliament, for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
