Improvement of call connectivity of mobile phone calls and efficiencies in data transfers

- Mobile Operators are faced with the challenge of supplying a more qualitative service to their customers due to lack of antenna coverage for the mobile phones in Colombo and other areas. Accordingly, as a solution for the issue, the proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to formulate a mechanism to install roof top antennas in strategic locations of Colombo and the suburbs with the approval of the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka, was approved by the Cabinet.
