Creation of Documentaries on Ethnic Groups of Sri Lanka

- A book titled 'People of Sri Lanka' was launched incorporating the findings of a survey conducted recently by the Ministry of National Integration, Reconciliation and Official Languages, on the Ethnic Groups living in Sri Lanka. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Mano Ganesan, the Minister of National Integration, Reconciliation and Official Languages, to secure the necessary funds for the preparation of a programme on documentaries incorporating the information revealed in the said Book pertaining to the Ethnic Groups in the three languages namely Sinhala, Tamil and English, with a view to creating a nation where peace reigns, by promoting reconciliation and mutual understanding among the nationalities, was approved by the Cabinet.
