The Guaranteed Price Formula of Paddy for Yala Season 2018

- The Joint Proposal made by Hon. Mahinda Amaraweera, the Minister of Agriculture and Hon. Malik Samarawickrema, the Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade, to purchase paddy from each farmer upto a maximum of 5,000kg at this Yala season, with the objective of granting relief to farmers and consumers by maintaining a reasonable market price for paddy, was approved by the Cabinet.
