Streamlining the Public Investment Formulation Process

- It has been identified that the public investments should be made effectively on a priority basis towards the government's effort for creating an economically enriched modern society by the year 2025. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to identify, select and plan the projects by the Government institutions and issue a set of guidelines to the government institutions to be followed in obtaining the required approval for the said projects, was approved by the Cabinet.
