Construction of a 500MW Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Power Plant

- The proposal made by Hon. Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy, to sign the Joint Venture and Shareholders Agreement for the construction of the 500MW Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Power Plant to be constructed jointly by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and NTPC Limited, a Company owned by the Government of India, in Kerawalapitiya, was approved by the Cabinet.
