Developing systems for building assessment and condition reporting

- The National Building Research Organization has designed to introduce a 'system for building assessment and condition reporting' to ensure the protection of the occupants of the building and the neighborhood by assessing the structural integrity of the buildings, deterioration of the building elements due to time, repair and retrofitting of buildings and providing suitable technical recommendations. Therefore, the proposal made by Hon. Duminda Dissanayake, the Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources & Disaster Management, to secure funds required to promote the said system, was approved by the Cabinet.
