Construction of rural bridges for the well being of the beneficiaries of the model villages in the Hambantota District

- The proposal made by Hon. Sajith Premadasa, the Minister of Housing and Construction, to commence the construction of the 04 projects under the 'Nagamu Purawara' programme namely the Yaya bridge along the Walasmulla - Pallekanda road, the bridge across the Urubokka Oya in Medagoda Kumbukmulla, the bridge connecting Thalunna and Andupelena and the bridge extension of Pahala Beragama to facilitate easy access to the urban facilities for the housing beneficiaries of the model villages implemented in the villages with inadequate infrastructure facilities in the Hambantota District, was approved by the Cabinet.
