The Proposed Counter Terrorism Act

- The proposal made by Hon. Thilak Marapana, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, to publish the draft Bill for the Counter Terrorism in the Government Gazette, which has been drafted with the objective of protecting the people of Sri Lanka from terrorism and the terrorism associated activities after discussions with all relevant stakeholders, and to present it in Parliament and further amendments if any, necessary for the Bill to be considered at the Committee Stage of the Bill in Parliament, was approved by the Cabinet.
