Construction of the buildings necessary for the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka

- It has been planned to establish the Faculty of Medicine of the Sabaragamuwa University in a 20 acre land situated in close proximity to the General Hospital of Ratnapura with an investment of Rs.5,015 million. Considering the urgent need of commencing the activities of this Faculty of Medicine, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Wijayadasa Rajapaksa, the Minister of Higher Education & Cultural Affairs, for the construction of the Clinical building for the Medical and the Para Medical Faculty and to secure the funds necessary for the purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
