Construction of the Mathugama, Galle, Beliatta, Matara and Pallekele Grid Substations

- It has been planned to establish 90 Solar Power Plants to connect to the central electricity system all over Sri Lanka under the Soorya Bala Sangramaya Programme. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy, to award the contract for the construction of 05 Grid substations in Mathugama, Galle, Beliatta, Matara and Pallekele out of the Grid substations to be constructed to be connected to the solar power electricity system, in accordance with the recommendations of the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
