Amendment to the Sri Lanka Transport Board Act, No.27 of 2005 to increase the income level of the Sri Lanka Transport Board

- It has been found that a considerable amount of daily income receivable to the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) is lost due to various malpractices. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Nimal Siripala de Silva, the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, to instruct the Legal Draftsman to draft necessary legislation to amend the Sri Lanka Transport Board Act, No.27 of 2005, by incorporating the necessary amendments to increase the level of income through the prevention of such practices, was approved by the Cabinet.
