Vesting of Dr. Neville Fernando Hospital with the Sri Lanka Air Force

- As a solution to the conflict which prevailed for a length of time at the SAITM Medical Faculty, around 900 medical students who were studying at the faculty had been absorbed into the Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. Considering the proposal presented for vesting Dr. Neville Fernando Hospital affiliated to the SAITM Medical Faculty with the Sri Lanka Air Force, the proposal made by Hon. Maithripala Sirisena, the Minister of Defence, for the appointment of a Official Committee to conduct negotiations in that regard, was approved by the Cabinet.
