Procurement of Fertilizer

- The proposal made by Hon. Mahinda Amaraweera, the Minister of Agriculture, for approval to procure 38,500 MT of Urea (Granular) at the rate of US$ 309.60 per MT from Liven Agrichem Pte. Ltd., 20,000 MT of Muriate of Potash at the rate of US$ 329.50 per MT and 7,500 MT of Triple Super Phosphate at the rate of US$ 317.25 per MT from Agri Commodities and Finance, required by the Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited and the Colombo Commercial Fertilizer Company Limited for the procurement of Chemical Fertilizer for the month of October, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
