Amendments to the Tea Research Board Act, No.52 of 1993

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted previously to amend the Tea Research Board Act, No.52 of 1993. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Navin Dissanayake, the Minister of Plantation Industries, to publish the Bill prepared, incorporating the provisions to widen the functions of the Board on formulating the environmental security measures, specific provision pertaining to the issue of research outcome to various parties, to make provision to prevent the inconsistencies between the Tea Research Board Act and other related law and to reconstitute the composition of the Board of Directors of the Tea Research Board, in the Government Gazette and to present the same thereafter, in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
