Establishment of an Industrial Zone for the Small Scale Entrepreneurs

- It has been proposed to develop small scale industries in the areas utilizing the extent of the land of 100 acres where the Kankesanthurai Cement Factory had been situated. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Rishad Bathiudeen, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, to develop the said land as an industrial zone for the small scale entrepreneurs, under an investment of around Rs.998 million, with all infrastructure facilities needed for industries, was approved by the Cabinet.
