Kolonnawa Canal Diversion Scheme

- It has been planned to implement the Kolonnawa Canal Diversion Scheme with a length of 4.8 km under the Metro Colombo Urban Development Project, under four sub sections with an investment of Rs.3,000 million. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to award the contract to carry out the construction activities to be implemented under its Stage 3, to the E &C - RR Joint Venture, for a sum of Rs 1,004.4 million, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
