Entering into an Agreement for the Establishment of a Biotechnology Laboratory

- A Memorandum of Understanding has been entered into between Sri Lanka and the Science and Technology Ministry of the Government of China previously, for the establishment of a Joint Biotechnology Laboratory in Sri Lanka. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Sarath Amunugama, the Minister of Science, Technology, Research, Skills Development & Vocational Training and Kandyan Heritage, to sign the second Agreement including the terms and the conditions agreed upon for the implementation of the project for strengthening of the technical cooperation between the two parties, was approved by the Cabinet.
