Amendments to the Debt Conciliation Ordinance, No.39 of 1941

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted previously to amend the Debt Conciliation Ordinance, No.39 of 1941 by increasing the membership of the Debt Conciliation Board and revise the selection criteria of the Chairman, members of the Debt Conciliation Board and the members of each Branch. As such, the proposal made by Hon. (Mrs.) Thalatha Atukorala, the Minister of Justice & Prison Reforms, to publish the draft Bill prepared by the Legal Draftsman in the Government Gazette and present the same thereafter in Parliament, for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
