Payment of compensation for the people and those whose properties were affected due to political victimization

- The joint proposal made by the Ministers of Hon. Ranjith Madduma Bandara, Public Administration & Management and Law & Order; Hon. (Mrs.) Thalatha Atukorala, Justice & Prison Reforms; Hon. D.M. Swaminathan, Resettlement, Rehabilitation, Northern Development & Hindu Religious Affairs, to secure the necessary provisions for the payment of compensation in accordance with the recommendations made by a Committee formed for the payment of compensation for the persons who lost their lives, were injured and those whose properties were damaged due to various political reasons, and pay and settle such compensation in the year 2019 itself, was approved by the Cabinet.
