Payment of compensation for the vehicles damaged due to the explosion at the Salawa Ammunition Storage

- The explosion which occurred in the Salawa Ammunition Storage at Kosgama has caused damages to many movable and immovable properties in the area and the Government has taken measures to pay compensation due for houses, business places, and other various properties so damaged. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Duminda Dissanayake, the Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources & Disaster Management, to pay compensation for the vehicles damaged by the said explosion but which have not been provided with the due compensation, was approved by the Cabinet.
