The establishment of 'Haritha Udyana' and a ' Haritha Zone' with jogging tracks

- Under the budget proposals, a sum of Rs.1,500 million has been allocated to establish a 'Haritha Udyana' or a 'Haritha Zone' with a jogging track to cover every Pradeshiya Sabha Division and mainly 54 projects have been identified to be implemented island-wide. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to implement the 'Haritha Udyana' programme under the supervision of the Urban Development Authority and with the coordination of the relevant Local Authority Institutions, was approved by the Cabinet.
