Construction of the Para Clinical building of the Faculty of Medicine, in the University of Peradeniya

- The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Peradeniya established in the year 1962 admits around 215 students annually. The construction of a Para Clinical building for the requirement of the students of the faculty has been commenced with an investment of Rs.280 million and by now, the construction work of the ground floor and the first floor of the building has been completed. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Wijayadasa Rajapaksa, the Minister of Higher Education & Cultural Affairs, to add a further 7,200 sq.m. to the building and develop it under the Second Phase of the programme, was approved by the Cabinet.
