Expansion and improvement of the Daycare Facilities for Children

- The Government has planned to establish 2,000 daycare centres with the objective of providing high standard daycare facilities for children at divisional level, in association with the private sector. With a view to attracting the human resources and investment required for the purpose, the joint proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs and Hon. (Mrs.) Chandrani Bandara, the Minister of Women and Child Affairs, to formulate a concessionary loan scheme under the 'Enterprise Sri Lanka' for providing the fund assistance and the other necessary assistance to the investors to expand and improve the daycare facilities, was approved by the Cabinet.
