Procurement of Fertilizer - 2018

- The state owned Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited (Lak Pohora) and the Colombo Commercial Fertilizer Company Limited (Commercial Fertilizer) have taken measures to call for bids by following the International Open Competitive bidding procedure, for procuring chemical fertilizer on the market requirements. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Mahinda Amaraweera, the Minister of Agriculture, to award the above contract to procure 30,000 MT of Urea of each amounting to US$ 292.38 to the Livan Agrichem International Pvt. Ltd, 3,000 MT of Muriate of Potash of each amounting to US $ 317.75 to the Agricultural Resources and Investment Pvt. Ltd and 15,000 MT of Triple Super Phosphate of each amounting to US$ 324.30 to the Golden Bali International Pvt. Ltd, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
