The project for the establishment of the Bogambara Prison in Pallekale

- The relocation of the Bogambara Prison in Pallekale was carried out in the year 2013 and out of the activities of the Master Plan prepared for the purpose, there are a large number of essential development activities which have either not been completed up to date or not commenced as yet to be further carried out. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. (Mrs.) Thalatha Atukorala, the Minister of Justice & Prison Reforms, to implement the construction of the essential facilities such as buildings, official quarters, hospitals, sanitary and utility facility systems, internal roads etc., which are included in the Master Plan of the relocation of the Bogambara Prison in Pallekale and which have not been completed, as the second stage of the project, was approved by the Cabinet.
