Amendments to the Sri Lanka Electricity Act

- The proposal made by Hon. Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy, to publish the Bill drafted to amend the Sri Lanka Electricity Act, No.20 of 2009 as amended by the Act, No.31 of 2013, with the objective of overcoming the impediments in procuring the electricity generated by the renewable energy resources, in the Government Gazette and to present the same subsequently, in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
