Utilization of the 'Enterprise Sri Lanka' and the 'Gamperaliya' National Programmes for the livelihood development of the beneficiaries in the Model Villages

- Through the Model Village Programme implemented under the Ministry of Housing and Construction, various programmes are carried out to build up the future of the low income people in addition to providing the ownership of a house. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Sajith Premadasa, the Minister of Housing and Construction, to formulate the rural livelihood development plans in such a way to enable the use of the model villages for the livelihood development of the beneficiaries and to launch the 'Enterprise Sri Lanka' and the 'Gamperaliya' National Programmes, of such villages and so as to ensure a mode of livelihood for each and every beneficiary in those villages, was approved by the Cabinet.
