Construction of the Kandy Multimodel Transport Terminal

- It has been planned to construct the Kandy Multimodel Transport Terminal for the improvement of the qualitative aspect of the Public transportation services in the Kandy city. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to secure a sum of Rs.1,460 million for the construction of a four (04) storey and a seven (07) storey building to relocate the buildings of the Department of the Sri Lanka Railways affected by the implementation of the project and also to construct a vehicle park for the pilgrims coming to the Dalada Maligawa, was approved by the Cabinet.
