Construction of the Ambathale Water Pumping Station

- The Ambathale Water Pumping Station Project due to be implemented with a view to providing a qualitative water supply service, is a sub project identified under the Metro Colombo Region Development Project. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to award the contract for the Design and Building of the Ambathale Water Pumping Station to M/s SALCON ENGINEERING BERHAD of Malaysia for a sum of Rs.1,181.5 million (excluding tax), as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
